Is Your Sims' House a HOME?

I had originally intended to continue my last post on Color, but I'm going to wait a few days to finish that up. For now, I'm going to move on to a different topic. Today I want to focus on some of the beautiful homes people have made for the Sims 3. Is your Sims' house a home, or is it just four walls, a floor, a roof, and minimal furniture? Either way, you should check out the residential lots I'll be featuring in this post. You might get some ideas for your own building or interior decorating!

First, let's talk about starter homes. We all have to start our Sims off with some kind of house, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it can't be stylish! This starter home from Liana Sims 3 is cute, small, and a good price.

"Modern Starter House, one bedroom, one bathroom, one kitchen, one living room. Just because you are tight on cash does not mean you have to compromise on style! Priced at just over $16,000 simoleons this house is perfect for a young modern family!"
Download it HERE.

I normally like to try to promote custom content from smaller, less known websites, but The Sims Resource has several lovely starter homes that you should check out HERE. Most of them have very interesting architecture, and some are fully furnished and include some landscaping.

I love a lot of the modern homes people have been designing, and this beauty from Stylist Sims is not an exception! More on the luxury end, the "River Road" house is fully furnished and decorated very nicely.

It doesn't have any additional information on the website, so I'm not sure how much it costs, or how many bathrooms it has, but it's certainly still worth downloading, or at least looking at the rest of the pictures.
Download it HERE.

This house is from Around the Sims 3. I'm not sure I like the brick on the exterior (it's a bit much in my taste for such a large looking house), but it works well on the inside! It has that artistic studio or apartment/loft feel.

Download it HERE.

If you're looking for a little more of a classic style house, you should look at what Parsimonious has to offer! This is just one of the great houses you can download from them.

Download it HERE.

I think that's going to be it for now. There are TONS of houses I would love to feature, but I'm sure you guys are getting bored of this by now. Tomorrow I plan to feature children's clothes and patterns, so stay tuned! As always, I love comments, or you can e-mail me at lochnessemmy@gmail.com. If you have any finds you would like me to feature, send me an e-mail, or if you have a topic you'd love me to blog about, you can also e-mail me.

Later!

Color, Color, and More Color!

Today TS3S is going to focus on very colorful things for your Sims 3 game. Sure, many modern houses are beautifully decorated in black and white, or other neutral colors. Let's face it, it's sleek, impressive, and very nice looking. But every once in a while, it's nice to add some strong, bold colors to change it up a little. If you're interested in spicing up your game, take a look at these beautiful patterns from Around the Sims 3.

Left Side: Mexican themed patterns, Upper Right: Red toile, Middle Right: Blue toile (small), Bottom Right: Rusted blue metal, titled "Destroy." Download them HERE, HERE, and HERE.

If you're looking for something bright for your Sim to wear, then keep reading! This is a cute every day top from Sky Sims.

Yellow is a color that you don't see very much, but this shade is great for adding a small touch of color to your Sims' wardrobe without overdoing it or making your eyes bleed. ;) You can download it by visiting the Sky Sims website, and under "clothes," select "young adult female" from the menu. The top is on the third page.

If you like silly, obnoxious things, then this cute shirt might be right up your alley! It's also from Sky Sims.

Download it from page 2 under the "adult female" category.

My last feature for Sky Sims is some really HOT camouflage Calvin Klein underpants for your male sims. I'm totally downloading these!

I'm really digging these, aren't you?? If you want to dress your dudes in these sexy undies, download these under adult male from the clothing category of Sky Sims.

If you're looking for something small to brighten your Sims' outfit, check out these cute watches by Dragonfly over at The Simmers Club.

One has skulls and the other has flowers on it, so you can choose between a punk or girly look! Get them both HERE

Dragonfly also has a really cool Teal Patio Set on The Simmers Club. It only uses things from the base game, but Dragonfly did an excellent job of matching the colors and patterns. It's cute, summery, and best of all, it's colorful!

This is one of the cutest outdoor sets I've found so far. If you want to add it to your game, download it HERE.

Well, I guess I need to wrap this post up now... real life is calling again! I may continue this post later, but for now, enjoy what I've shared here! I appreciate any and all comments if you happen to be reading, so feel free to either shoot me an e-mail at lochnessemmy@gmail.com, or you can just leave a comment here on the blog.

Peace out!

Welcome to TS3S!

Hello everyone, thanks for checking out my brand new blog, The Sims 3 Studio, or TS3S. When I had the idea to start this blog, I didn't realize that there were already several blogs just like it. I'm hoping that by the time I get TS3S up and running, it will be distinct and offer something unique. We'll just have to wait and see, I guess! Anyway, so welcome to my blog, and thanks for reading. Enough with the formalities, though, let's kick this post off with something snazzy!

In honor of the first post, I'd like to feature some really amazing stuff from Kitty Klan.

These sexy shredded stockings would look awesome with some denim shorts, or a funky mini skirt, suitable for any occasion. Download them HERE.

Looking for a beautiful, modern home for your Sims? Check out this lot by Einfach Simlisch.

With sleek black and white interiors, with the occasional splash of color, this home is a great find. Download it HERE.

Next I would like to showcase some beautiful patterns done by Kate at Parsimonious. A mixture of spunky, classic, and contemporary patterns, Kate's patterns are definitely worth checking out.

Download them HERE.

Thanks again for reading! Check back soon, I'm planning on updating the blog as much as possible. If you have any finds you think I should share, please e-mail me the link at lochnessemmy@gmail.com.
